Participation Trophy Studios x ClubEleven collab on a jacket with the 32 MLS crest of 2021. The purpose was to photograph the jacket in every city that held an MLS club to show the diversity and community soccer provides. ClubEleven picked someone to document the jacket and conduct an interview to discuss their inspo.
I decided to pick Chinatown in Houston as my prime location for the photoshoot. A lot of people think of the buildings downtown and NASA, but people tend to forget that Houston is one of the most diverse cities in the world. I grew up playing soccer down the street from Chinatown (Alief Community Park). My inspo was to take it back to my roots and my community. These were the streets that my family and I were always at. My friend Ann also grew up in Houston and thought she was the perfect person to represent this jacket.
